The overhaul of the ground level track is now complete. During the winter we aim to put in the station passing loop. We will also start a major overhaul of the raised track which involves building new pillars and replacing the concrete beams and then relaying the track on top of the new beams
January 2009
The toilet block is now fully working with only a few minor items to complete. The workshop has been moved up stairs, this has allowed us to extend the cafe seating area almost doubling its size. Work is progressing on overhauling the ground level track.
December 2008
During December we held two "mince pie" open days, these were a great success and we have decided to repeat them next year.
Febuary 2008
Work is progressing on the toilet, the ceiling has been boarded out and the electrics are being installed. The next job will be the plumbing and internal fittings.
The container has been moved and the car park leveled ready for a surface layer of chippings to be laid. This should get rid of the mud that was a problem every time it rained.

The shell for the toilet block is now complete, leaving all the interior work to be completed

Work has now started on the toilet block and the shell should be complete in the next few weeks. Over the winter the internal work will be completed with the aim of having fully operational toilets by the time we open next year.
August 2007
The drains are now complete and connected to the main sewer. We have also recived notification that our grant aplication has been succesfull. This will enable us to start work building a toilet block.
We have also been given 2 kidies rides, one of them is in full working order so this will be another sorce of income.

Another section of drain has been laid this now takes the drain to the top of the drive near the entrance.
January 2007
Toilets
We now have planning permission to build a toilet block. The next set is to apply for grants to enable a start to be made. However we have started laying drains and to avoid dispution during the running season the first stage from the toilet block to a possition next to the steaming bay has been laid. This necessitated removing four sections of track, so this would have been difficult to carry out during the running season.
Water
Water is now connect and we have a mains water supply. Previously all water used in the Loco’s and for drinks having to the be brought to the Park in 5 gallon containers.
2006
Electricity
After many years of having to use a diesel generator for our electricity, we now connected to the mains. This will make life a lot easier as the generator had to be hand cranked to start and this was not easy in summer and very difficult in winter when the oil was like treacle.
Workshop
Our workshop is currently being fitted out with the following machine tools:
Dore-Westbury Miller.
Myford ML7.
Bench Mounted Pillar Drill.
Gear Hobber.
Stent Tool and Cutter Grinder.
Clock Pinion Cutter.
There are also various hand and power tools including a Mig Welder and propane blowlamp for boiler making.
