The signals for the passing loop are now installed and working.
January 2011
All sleepers on the raised track have been replaced. The next step is to pack and relevel all the concrete beams.
The new unloading area and ramp are well on the way to completion and should be in full use for this running season.
March 2010
The track work for the station passing loop is now installed, the next step is to install signaling.
October 2009
The overhaul of the ground level track is now complete. During the winter we aim to put in the station passing loop. We will also start a major overhaul of the raised track which involves building new pillars and replacing the concrete beams and then relaying the track on top of the new beams
Workshop
Our workshop is currently being fitted out with the following machine tools:
Dore-Westbury Miller.
Myford ML7.
Bench Mounted Pillar Drill.
Gear Hobber.
Stent Tool and Cutter Grinder.
Clock Pinion Cutter.
There are also various hand and power tools including a Mig Welder and propane blowlamp for boiler making.
